Seeing LeBron James run to the rim through the defense and finish an alley-oop slam with one hand is always something to behold, but the slow motion replay from behind the glass is what makes this one particularly special.

The irrational love fans have for watching the game’s best player do what he does best is perhaps beginning to get a little out of hand. And the media seems more than happy to be complicit in stoking that fire.

LeBron James is not going to enter the dunk contest. Ever. Simply put, he doesn’t have to, and he doesn’t want to. If participating in the event had interested him at all in his 10 NBA seasons, you know what would have happened? He would have done it, and likely would have won it.

CBS Miami

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) – A huge celebration was held Friday at Dillard High School to honor the girls varsity basketball team, and their coach, who has the most wins of any Florida high school basketball coach.

The details:

Bell, who is being paid $3.48 million this season, has been away from the team all year since directing unflattering comments at coach Tyrone Corbin at the end of last season. Earlier this week, Jazz Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Kevin O’Connor told a team-owned radio station that the Jazz had offered the minimum buyout to Bell before the season and that “we never heard from him.”

“The framework of the buyout we have had in place all year was premised on us finding an offer in the league,” Rudoy said in a text messsage to The Tribune. “We did not, so Raja is…
